Pancake turned one on Wednesday. We had a mini-celebration for her today with our friends Liam, Delaney and their mommy Erin. Ella and I made a cake that Pancake could eat. We got the recipe off of a dog website. It was mostly peanut butter, honey, and shredded carrots. It was iced in cottage cheese. We make cupcakes for the humans. Pancake wasn't sure it was actually ok to eat it. I only gave her half the cake. When she got the idea that we were allowing her to eat this, she took a huge chunk of it, and started to walk away to eat it...probably just in case we were going to take it away from her. We made sure she stayed in the kitchen and made the mess there. We sang and the kids blew a candle out for her. It was fun for everyone.
