Poor Steve

The drama never ends here.
Steve's eye got red and puffy and it hurt yesterday afternoon. We thought it was allergies. So he took a Claritin and we went to bed really early from being so tired over the weekend. (in bed at 830) Then when he woke up, he couldn't really open his eye, the light was making him too sensitive. And his eye ached a lot. I thought it was just pink eye and i told him to go the minute clinic at CVS. They sent him away with a referral to an urgent care, because it wasn't pink eye. So me and the girls drove him to this so called urgent care which turned out to just be an ER. (we were pissed but went anyway) I dropped him off because Claire was being a pain in the waiting room, and we had only been there two minutes. Ella stayed with Steve. I was able to go the bank, car wash, gas station, and grocery store, home and back. Then got him and took him to an ophthalmologist. Turns out he has an inflammation of his iris. It is very common for people who have colitis, which he does. It should be gone in two weeks and he should be feeling better in a week. Right now, he is in some pain, and he has to wear big glasses that make him look like a blind person.

To make light of it, I was really wishing that they would have given him an eye patch. That would have made an excellent scrapbook page. haha! We hope he is on the mend soon. His eye is not pretty to look at. Today he will do drops every hour and then tomorrow he will switch to every four hours for two weeks, and then he will lesson his drops from there. The drops are a steroid.
