Grandpa Phil is doing amazing! We couldn't be happier that he is doing so well. He knows who people are, he is getting stronger everyday, he is eating normally, and is getting ready to be using a walker. All this for the 90 year old man who's body was toying with the idea of leaving us, but his mind wasn't ready yet. Who would have thought that just WEEKS after brain surgery, this young man would come out with such a fighting spirit. We are all very lucky to be able to keep Gramps around even longer! It was touch and go it seemed for a while but now every day he gets stronger. He loves visits from family, and he loves to go visit his friends in the building he used to live in. The great news is that he will be moving back to his old building "sooner than later" according to the doctor. He will be very happy to be back with all his old crew, and yes...all of his women. LOL, today he was telling us that he had "too many women" in his life. We were all laughing. What a crack up!! He is blessed with longevity and we are blessed to have him in our lives still. The girls had a nice visit with Grandpa and gave him lots of hugs. The girls put a few smiles on some faces today. Even a 102 old woman getting her hair done was smiling at our little ladies. It's a Happy New Year for sure!
