Tonight we went to Santa's Cabin. He has a cabin here in White Lake. You get to spend quality time with Santa and Mrs Claus. He talked to Ella and Claire about all kinds of things from Ella getting her teeth pulled and how well she was doing in school, to how much Claire likes to bake and how he hoped she would bake him cookies for Christmas Eve. We walked in and he was greeting Rosalie, Ella and Claire by name and was very interested in what the girls wanted for Christmas. Ella could only think of one thing and then she froze. She didn't have any other ideas. Claire only asked for one thing as well. I guess Santa won't have a hard time this year at our place! Rose wanted NOTHING to do with Santa. She told him "no" and pushed him away. She better be careful or she might end up on the naughty list! ;-) Speaking of the naughty list, Santa discussed with the girls about how important it is to share, and to be kind to each other and respect each other. He specifically told Ella that because she was the oldest she should set a good example for her little sisters. Ella and Claire were good listeners and hopefully these words of wisdom will stick for at least a day or two!
Ella and Claire were quiet when they were with Santa even though they had been bursting with excitement all day long about seeing him. As we were leaving Ella said she wanted to see Santa again next year at his cabin. I think we will!
