Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter this year! The girls woke up (too early as usual) and they went downstairs to discover the Easter Bunny had eaten all the carrots and milk. (Ella said bunnies drink milk so that is what he was given). There was also a note with a plastic egg. The note said the egg contained the first clue to find their Easter baskets. The Easter bunny had them hoppin' all over the house. Upstairs, then downstairs, then back up, then back down, in the garage, and finally in the basement. Ella and Claire were really excited to find their baskets after 6 clues. The most exciting items were the tutu's, The Princess and the Frog DVD, and a box set of four Junie B. Jones books. There was lots of candy and a cute little stuffed animal for each little lady. Overall, they were happy with their loot.

After breakfast, they girls went on an egg hunt in the back yard. This was the first year that it was warm enough outside for this kind of morning activity. Yup, I did call 38 degrees warm! haha! It did get to 65 during the day which was so very nice! The girls went out in their pj's, tutu's and coats to search for their specific colored eggs. They found more candy and stickers inside their eggs. This was their special surprise from us. Steve and I were outside at ten last night, in the dark, trying to hide eggs. I think we did a great job.

We had a fun day with lots of family. We went to brunch at Grandma Nina's house and dinner at Bumbles' house. The kids ate so much chocolate throughout the day and they were so hopped up (pun intended) on sugar that getting them to go to sleep was not an easy task. I do believe they are all sleeping now, thankfully! Thanks everyone for helping make this Easter a fun and special day for the girls!
