We had Claire's Carnival on Saturday, the actual day of her birthday. It was VERY hot, but it didn't rain, thankfully. There was a threat of it, and it would cloud up and then go away. Claire really didn't have a clue the party was for her. When it came time for presents, we had to force her to come up from the basement to open them. And after the first present, she didn't care about anything else. Until the Hi-5 DVD's got opened, then her focus switched to wanting Hi-5 on. The games were a lot of fun for the kids and they got a lot of tickets to cash in for their prizes.
Steve was a good sport and took the pies in the face with ease. But he said all night he felt like the smell was stuck in his nose, and it smelled like baby puke. Everyone went to bed late and woke up early...it's gonna be a great day after the party! I foresee lots of crying in the near future...Only 10 hours till their bedtime.
